ANNOUCEMENT & My "Everyday" Eyebrow Routine

Hello lovelies,

As you can tell from the title, today's post is going to show you how I get my eyebrows on fleek. But first, I'm going to address the elephant in the room.

You're all probably wondering what happened to "Beauty and Tee", right? Well, here's what happened:

I've been meaning to change my blog name for a very long time but I never really had any ideas and when I asked the Twitter community, everyone said that they liked "Beauty and Tee" so I didn't change it.

However, when it came to creating material it became very difficult as I felt very limited. Eventually blogging started to feel like a chore resulting in my little unannounced break. By changing the name of my blog from "Beauty and Tee" to "Tee Talks", I no longer have any limitations so I can write/talk about whatever I want.

New name, new logo, right? Here's my new logo:

Anyways, enough of my rambling. Let's get straight into my video. Here's my "everyday" eyebrow tutorial.

That's it for today, come back tomorrow for some tips on how to get over your ex.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

How To Get Over Your Ex

When you’re in a relationship with someone, you may feel like you’ve given a part of yourself to your partner. You might not even know how you would function without him. Until your break up, you thought you were going to be with him forever. You thought he was the one.
But now, for whatever reason it may be, you have both decided to part and even the thought of not being with him drives you crazy. You find yourself think

Stop Feeling Sorry for Yourself
In order for you to move on, you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and accept the situation. It's no good blaming yourself for what happened; you weren't the only person in the relationship. It takes two to tango.

Blaming yourself will not change anything; it will only prolong your feelings of upset and confusion. By accepting your situation, you give yourself the opportunity to move on and discover new things.

What are the Advantages of Not Being Together?
Once you've stopped feeling sorry for yourself, you then need to ask yourself a question. What are the advantages of not being together? The first time you answer this question, you might say that there are none; however there are many advantages to being single besides being able to speak to whoever you want.
One being that you get to learn more about yourself. In a relationship, you might often find yourself focusing on the wants and needs of your other half and just putting yours to the side; telling yourself that his things are more important and ours can wait. Well, you don’t have to do that anymore. Now that you don't have someone else to worry about, you have more time to focus on yourself.
Get to know yourself. Who are you when you’re not with him? What are your pet peeves? What's your favourite cuisine? What's your favourite music? What are you good at?
What good can you do with your new found time and energy?

Get Fit

I’m not saying that you should completely forget about all the memories that you created together and pretend like the relationship never happened because I think that is almost impossible. I just think you need to stay optimistic and always refer to the saying ‘Everything happens for a reason’. We may not know what the reason is right now but it should all become clear in the future.
Now that you’re single, you have more time to focus on yourself. I understand that sitting on the sofa with a tub of Ben & Jerry’s watching a bunch of romantic movies might feel a lot more appealing, but this will not help your situation. It will only make it worse. Instead of spending that time reminiscing about the past, spend it trying to better yourself.
Sometimes we leave a relationship feeling worthless and often lack confidence. Hence we watch Romantic movies as they might portray the relationships we desire, however the relationships we see on the screen are merely he products of somebody else’s imagination.
One way to overcome this feeling of worthlessness is to get fit.
Even though body image is not something you should constantly worry about, it is one of the ways to realise the changes that you have made since you became single.
You’ve just come out of a relationship and you barely have enough energy to get yourself out of bed, let alone go to the gym. Let’s look at it like this, you can spend hours on end focusing on the ‘what if’s’ and the ‘why’s’ but it’s the actions you take that are going to change your situation.
Think about it as a way of bettering yourself, improving your health and improving your confidence.

Get Social
The last step is the one of the most controversial. Some people don’t want to socialise with other people because they might feel like they’re disrespecting their ex; however if you continue to stop yourself from doing things due to respect, you will never move on.
Whilst others don’t want to socialise because they are simply not ready to put themselves out there again. Don’t rush yourself into anything that you’re not ready for, it takes time to heal. You are the only person that knows what you can and cannot handle, so don’t feel like you must do anything to please anybody or prove that you’re over him. It’s up to you to decide if you’re ready to put yourself out there and how you’re going to do it.

Starting to socialise again can be very difficult but it is a vital step. By socialising with other people, you unconsciously stop yourself from thinking about him. The less time you spend thinking about him, the easier it will be to move on. I would say avoid speaking to people that have connections to him, as they may cause you to start thinking about him again.

For anyone going through a tough break up, I want you to remember one thing and it is this: there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. It may seem super difficult and impossible at first but eventually, you will find it easier to cope without your other half.

That's it for now.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hey guys,

I hope your week has been amazing. I've got a super special announcement to make in this post but first I've got to address the elephant in the room.Yes, I know I've not been posting all week - I apologise.

My reasons for not posting on Monday was that I didn't do anything spectacular that week so I didn't think there was a reason to post about my boring week and then on Wednesday I just lacked motivation and ideas. So what I've decided to do is no longer have posts for specific days but instead post whatever I feel like instead. I will be continuing to post on Monday and Wednesday but also adding a new post on Thursday. I might post in between but that is my schedule for now.

So let's get into this announcement.

If you've been reading for a while, you might have an idea of what I'm about to say - if you haven't,  I'm gonna tell you.

GUYS, I HAVE STARTED A YOUTUBE CHANNEL.

Finally! It took a very good friend of mine to make me do it. She would ask me every other day when I planned on starting my channel.

I started my channel 2/3 weeks ago but yesterday I realised my first makeup video.

I really hope you guys love seeing me on your screens and love the content that I produce. I'm super excited about the new journey I'm about to start and I hope that you all subscribe to my channel so you can watch me grow and maybe learn a few lessons from little old me.

Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe but also don't be afraid to leave any video requests under my videos.

Thank you for all the support, not only have I started a YouTube channel but this morning I woke up to 401 Twitter followers - it may not be a lot to some of you, but I never really expected to get more than 50 when I first started this blog.

Here's my "everyday" summer makeup routine:

Head over to my Twitter/Instagram and follow me @beautyandtee. Let's connect!

I really hope you've enjoyed my videos and this post! New videos every Thursday.

See you soon,

Sebamed Skincare review

Hey guys,

Today's post is something that I should have written a long time ago but then I didn't have my laptop so I couldn't transfer my pictures from my camera and then when I got my laptop back, I couldn't find my charger. However, I managed to solve all the problems.

I got sent 3 products from the CLEAR FACE range:

- the cleansing face soap
- the deep cleansing facial toner
- the care gel

So now that you know what products I was using - let's get started. Here's what I looked like before:

And here's what I looked like after 30 days:

Let me start off by saying that throughout the entire month, I used nothing but the Sebamed products I was sent so I could see how they work on their own.

Alright, so I'm not entirely sure if the images are clear enough but I had a dark scar on my cheek from popping a spot. The images only focus on that area because I had no spots or other blemishes on my face. The images don't really show how dark the scar was

However with that being said, I only got one spot above my eyebrow which I think was due to getting my eyebrows threaded or my dirty makeup brushes.

Overall I'm extremely amazed with the results as I didn't think it was possible to get rid of the scar or stop spots from appearing on my face. I've recommended this product to anyone that's complained to me about skin problems because I think it can work wonders for everyone.

Alright, that's it for this post. I hope you guys found it helpful. If you want me to do more skincare related posts, let me know in the comments section and then I'll make it happen.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

Are You Ready? | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS

Hey guys,

It's Wednesday! How's your day going? Good? Hm. Alright. The week has barely started and I'm pretty much ready for it to finish. This is meant to be an uplifting/motivational post so I'm going to leave all my negativity out of this post.

If you're an old reader, you would've have seen my post about Following Your Dreams, Not Giving Up and Believing in Yourself ... and if you're new, it's not too late to check them out. This post is a follow up to those.

Alright. Let's get started. It's one thing to be aware of your dreams and to believe in yourself but it's another thing to be ready. Physically, mentally and spiritually ready for what it is that you are asking for. Hopefully, you have all heard about the power of the tongue (there are references to it in the Bible); if not, don't worry I'm going to explain it. The tongue is referred to as a powerful tool not only because it is the strongest muscle in our body but also because of it's ability to help us speak. So when we speak, we are speaking things into existence that is why it's important to think before you speak.

You might be envisioning all the right things and saying all the wrong things. Or you could be envisioning all the right things, saying all the right things but you're not ready.

It is possible to get what you want when you're not ready for it but it makes the chances of you losing it or it not working out bigger as you are not ready for all the challenges that may come with it.

What I'm trying to say is, make sure you have done everything you need to do; in order to get what you want to get and KEEP it.

The video below explains it all with some amazing visuals - check it out.

Thanks for reading, I hope you've all enjoyed reading this post. May your week continue to be as amazing as you are.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

My Week in Pictures | 15.06.15-21.06.15

Hey guys,

It's been a long time since I wrote a post. I fell asleep halfway through writing my #WakeUpWednesdays post hence there wasn't one.

But since I've been gone for so long, let's get straight into it.

I was lucky enough to get some work experience at a prestigious inner city law firm. Throughout my time there, I had workshops from a variety of people covering topics such as "demystifying the city law firm" and "communication skills". Along with the workshops, I also got the chance to go to the Royal Courts of Justice and watch two trials. However, this picture isn't about the workshops or the trip, it's about the food. We were given £50 to spend on food. That's £10 a day - we were only there for 5 days. I literally ate breakfast and lunch there, I probably would've ate dinner there too if the canteen was open later. The picture above is of one of the meals I had for lunch. I didn't enjoy all the meals but I guess that's because I'm super fussy.

It was my little sisters 3rd birthday on Wednesday so we had a little get together that day. However, her actual party was on Saturday. My little sister is a big Frozen fan so it was only right for her to have a Frozen cake. Not only did she have a Frozen cake, she also had Elsa's blue dress. The cakes decoration was exquisite and it tasted so delicious. I know who I'll be going to for my birthday.

That's it for this week, I hope you've enjoyed this post. May the rest of this week be as amazing as you are. Don't forget to come back on Wednesday.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

My Week in Pictures | 08.06.15-14.06.15

Hey guys,

How are you? I hope you're all doing fine. I seem to have developed a habit of writing my posts last minute and I apologise. Since it's already 21:38, I'm going to get straight into it.

So let's get started.

Once exam season was over, I found myself searching for things to do because I no longer had anything that I needed to revise for. I turned to games and as you can see I've got quite far. Even though I have been playing games for almost a month, this is making an appearance this week because it's starting to get a bit frustrating. I am currently on level 94 on Farm Heroes Saga. In order to complete the level I needed 4 more carrots - that's 1 move. Does anybody realise how frustrating that can be? It was grinding my gears because I just couldn't move past it but now I'm on level 99 and I'm still facing the same problem.

This picture here is just a little insight into my camera roll. I haven't told you this before but I have 3 younger siblings - aged 1, 2 (3 on June 17th) and 11. The little ones love to take my phone and leave lovely little gifts for me to look back at. I'm not entirely sure who took this one, it was most likely my 2 year old sister. I've got plenty of pictures similar to this one that I very rarely end up deleting. Don't get it twisted, she can take very good pictures sometimes but this wasn't one of them.

Here's one of her better pictures:

I hope you've enjoyed reading this post. Keep an eye out for Wednesday's motivational post. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week.

See you soon,

My Slendertox Tea Experience

Hey guys,

How are you all? Its Friday. The start of the weekend, time to let loose and have fun. This weeks been extremely hectic for me but that's not what I'm here to talk about.

I am part of the Bloggers Love community and they help other bloggers like me connect with brands like Slendertox Tea. It was through Bloggers Love that I was able to connect with Slendertox Tea and bring to you this review of their 14 day tea tox.

Alright, so you've probably realised that the pictures are not 14 days apart and this is simply because I forgot to take one. I can't give you any statistics because I haven't weighed myself in a month and I haven't measured my waist in months. I must add that throughout the 14 days I exercised twice. These results are based solely on drinking the tea.

As you can see from the pictures above, my before picture is more defined than the after picture; which I think is because I did the tea tox during my exam season and I didn't exactly reach for the healthiest foods.

I still managed to maintain some definition and my belly doesn't bloat as much after I eat.

I would advise that you start this tea tox when you know that you won't be going out for 2/3 days because it takes your body a while to get used to the tea and you'll also need to go to the toilet often.

Whilst I was on the tea, I found that I had to go to the toilet every 2-3 hours and once I went to the toilet, I would need to go back again within the next 10-20 minutes. Long story short, just make sure  that there is a toilet near you at all times.

I also experienced really bad cramps whilst on the tea. They usually happened after I drank the tea or before I would need to use the toilet. It was my body's way of telling me to locate a toilet.

Despite the cramps and the constant need to go to the toilet, I am pleased with the end results and I think that if I was to add some exercise, I would have got some better results.

That's it for this post, I hope you found this post useful. If you're able to look past the cramps and going to the toilet, I would suggest that you head over to their website and purchase the tea.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

You Are Not Alone | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS

Hey guys,

How are you all? I hope you're all having a much better day than I am. Are you simply waiting for the week to end? Or are enjoying every moment of it? Either way, I hope that you are all feeling great.

So let's address the big elephant in the room. Today's post is going to be about bullying - I know that this is a very sensitive topic so I am going to attempt to address it in a very respectful way. This post was inspired by a collection of pictures I came across on Facebook; these pictures will be featured in this post for you all to see as I feel that they have a very strong message.

I want to make one thing very clear. Here it is: it is NEVER ok to bully someone - regardless of the situation and your reasons for wanting to do so.

In my opinion, bullies are often people that have been bullied before or people that have been excluded by others and want to make themselves appear to be a threat or stronger/braver/cooler than the rest. Does that make sense? I hope it does.

When I was roughly 9/10 years old, I used to be a bully. I remember being told one day that the way I had treated some girl the day before made her not want to come to school. I can't exactly remember how I was feeling but looking back at it, it sucks to know that something I did ruined somebody's day and made them feel bad about themselves. Now that we're older, the girl and I are able to laugh about the situation - not because I think it's ok but because the girl is completely different to what she was back when I was a bully. If anything, she's the one to be afraid of - she's not a bully but she can be very intimidating.

Ironically, when I was around 13 years old, I would get bullied about my skin tone by a guy that was a similar skin tone (or darker). Personally, I think that he did it to make him seem cool or to make him feel better about himself as he would only ever do it when there were people around. It was if he was trying to put a show on for his friends by hurting my feelings.

However, that's not the case for everybody. There are situations where constant bullying or even a single encounter with bullying can cause someone to fall into depression or become suicidal.

According to stopbullying.gov "Kids who are bullied are more likely to experience: Depression and anxiety, increased feelings of sadness and loneliness, changes in sleep and eating patterns, and loss of interest in activities they used to enjoy"

Stopbullying.gov also states that despite the media linking bullying with suicide, the majority of youths do not have suicidal thoughts. However there is an increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviour for kids that are bullied. These thoughts/behaviours are usually due to a combination of events that gradually build up over a period of time.

So I've talked about my experiences with bullying and the consequences of it but I haven't exactly told you how to deal with or respond to it.

You can respond to bullying by:
- stopping it on the spot
- being more than a bystander
- telling an adult/friend
- finding out what happened and
- supporting the people involved

If you are getting bullied (or know somebody that is), it is important that you know that you are not alone - you can get help from these organisations;

Bullying UK - 0808 800 2222
National Bullying Helpline0845 2022 2055787
Childline - 0800 1111

There are many more organisations out there that aim to stop bullying so I suggest that you do check them out just so that you're aware because you never know when you might need to help someone (or yourself) out.

Together we can stop bullying. I hope you found this post informative, I definitely learnt some new things whilst doing my research.

My Week in Pictures | 01.06.15-07.06.15

Hey guys,

How are you all? I hope you're all doing great, I'm back with another MWIP and I'm going to get straight into it.

So let's get started.

This is one of the goodies I got from the Magnum Regents St Street Party. I'm absolutely in love with it, it makes drinking anything 10 times better. I believe I was able to get through 3/4 cups of water thanks to this cup. I know that's not an awful lot but it's an incredible achievement for me.

In preparation for my Slendertox Tea review, I came across these two pictures (these are not spoilers, sorry). The left picture was taken on the 12th April and the right was taken on the 4th May. It doesn't look like much of a difference but there is a little bit of definition in the ab area which shows that slowly progressing. I've definitely been slacking but coming across these pictures have made me motivated to get back in the gym and work out more often. I will be keeping you updated on my progress throughout my journey.

I hardly do anything interesting when I'm at school because there's just so much work to do and it's a bit hard to balance school work and doing some exploring. I will definitely try to get some more done so that these posts can be a lot more interesting.

That's it for this post. I hope you've enjoyed it, I'll see you all on Wednesdat. Have a great week!

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

My Week in Pictures | 25.05.15-31.05.15

Hey guys,

How are you all? This list is extremely late due to pure laziness. It's Monday, I don't go back to sixth form until Thursday so I've literally just been in bed.

Enough about why this is late, let's get started.

Ok, so on Wednesday I got a lovely little delivery from a company that I've spoke about before. Don't know what I'm talking about? CLICK HERE.Yes, I paid for it with my own money but I used my discount code to get some money taken off (BEAUTYTEE10). I got two sets, I'm not really sure why I did but they just looked too amazing for me to resist. As you can see the packaging is absolutely gorg! The gold petals just added to its amazingness (you'll be seeing more of my made up words throughout my blog). Definitely worth the money. CHECK THEM OUT!

Guess who went to the Magnum Regent Street Party. I DID! It was totally by accident, I was on my way to work and ended up at the Street Party. It was such an amazing event, I got there at the very beginning. 12 on the DOT. However, the festivities didn't take too long to start.

Not only did you get as many free ice creams as you wanted but you also got freebies or vouchers from other brands such as Armani Exchange and Ted Baker. I got an eye mask, colouring pencils, a tea bag and a sippy cup from Ted Baker. The sippy cup and the eye mask are my favourite.

This week has been my most exciting week in a very long time and hopefully that came through in this post. I love to get out and about but my exams didn't allow me to. Despite having to go back to sixth form this Thursday, I will try to do some interesting things so that you are never able to predict my next #MWIP.

That's it for now, I hope you all have an amazing week. Thanks for reading this post. For advice/enquiries email me at beautyandtee@icloud.com

How to Be Invincible | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS

Hey guys,

How are you? I know it's been a while since I've done one of these posts and I'm sorry; but today's post is going to be something a little bit different.

You're probably wondering what can a 17 year old school girl tell you about being invincible, but don't let that stop you from reading this post.

Enough with the small talk, I'm going to get straight into it.

As many of you know it's exam season here in the UK, and well, exam season can take toll on you as a person. It can cause you to feel helpless, ill-prepared and disorganised. I'm pretty sure that this  happens with a lot of other events we may experience in life.

I chose to use exam season as an example, simply because it is my most recent encounter with these feelings. I remember feeling guilty for eating, sleeping and even taking breaks; as I felt that every single waking moment had to be spent revising for these exams. However, after sitting my first 2 exams, I was able to realise just how prepared I was. These 2 exams taught me to believe in myself, so for the other 4 exams I had left; I chose to believe. I believed in myself, my capability and my preparation.

Now, you're probably wondering what does my experience with exams have to do with becoming invincible; well, I'll tell you this - if you believe in yourself, NOBODY can tell you any different.

Who's going to be able to stop you? Who's going to want to stop you? You see, if you believe that you can do something, you will be able to do it. NOTHING is impossible when you believe. You become invincible once you start to start to believe in yourself.

Others around you will be surprised, some won't even understand but those are the ones that were just hoping you would stay in the same situation. They got some sort of buzz from your disbelief; now that you believe they don't know what to do. You are untouchable. You are unshakeable. You are invincible.

So in short, you become invincible when you start to believe. I'm sorry if you were expecting some tips and tricks but I thought that an anecdote would be much better.

I hope you've found this insightful. May you all take this in and use it to help you become invincible. If you would like any actual tips or advice you can email me at beautyandtee@icloud.com or message me on Twitter/Instagram - @beautyandtee.

May you all have an amazing week.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

My Week in Pictures | 18.05.15-24.05.15

Hey guys,

Happy Bank Holiday Monday and for all my American readers, Happy Memorial Day. I hope you're all having an amazing day today. Well, today's obviously Monday so that's means that today's post is about my previous week.

So let's get started.

As disgusting as this may look, it tasted delicious. It was my cousins 6th birthday party on Saturday and it was loads of fun. There was candy floss and chocolate covered fruit and marshmallows, along with other food. The chocolate covered strawberries and marshmallows had to be the highlight of the whole day.

Ok, so yesterday after a long day at cheerleading with my sister and cousin, we decided to go out to eat. We ended up going to Pizza Hut. I must say that I am never going back again; not only did my sister find some hair in our pizza but we also paid twice the amount we would have paid if we had just ordered it for takeaway. However the pizza was nice and we had a great time bonding together.

That's basically all I've done this week. Once my exams finished, I literally just spent the days sleeping, eating or babysitting. Hopefully, you've all had a much more interesting week than I did. There will be a #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS post this Wednesday, so keep your eyes open for that!

Thanks for reading, I hope you've enjoyed finding out what I've been up to lately.

See you soon,

My Week in Pictures | 11.05.15-17.05.15

Hey guys,

I'm back with another MWIP. I feel like it's been a while, especially since I've not been posting on Wednesdays. However, exam season finishes on Wednesday and  I will be getting back on track with all my posts.

I have so much in store for you guys, it's really hard to keep it all in. Some of it super exclusive so I can't put in this post until I finalise everything but boy, do I have some exciting stuff in store for you.

Let's get started.

If there's one thing I hate, it has to be flowers. Yes, they are aesthetically pleasing however, I've got hatfever. For those of you that don't know, hayfever and plants = my biggest nightmare. It's the constant sniffing, sneezing and watery eyes that just grinds my gears. So buying me flowers would not be a good idea.

That's why makeup is the way to my heart. You can never have too much makeup. Getting makeup as a gift is probably every beauty bloggers dream. More products to test and tell your readers about. So here's a subtle hint to anybody that would like to get me something; get me makeup. I love makeup. Please & thank you.

Alright. So since we're talking about things I love, I think it's time to make a confession. I'm addicted to nuggets. Super addicted. I could eat nuggets all day. Nuggets for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

To my amazement, I was eating my meal and then when my meal was almost finished; I came across this beauty. How amazing is this? It's the thing I love in the shape that symbolises love. A heart shaped nugget, how amazing?! I wish I didn't have to eat it, it looked so good. It tasted so damn good.

I'm not going to bore you with anymore stuff about revision because I'm quite sure that you get it by now. And for those of you that don't know, I've been revising like crazy for the past 2/3 weeks.

So that's it for this week. I hope you've enjoyed reading this post and finding out about what I've been up to in the past week.

I hope you all have an amazing week.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

My Week in Pictures | 04.05.15-10.05.15

Hey guys,

It's Monday, YASSSS. This post is extremely late because... well, it's exam season and I've literally been doing so much revision that I sometimes forget to eat. It's really bad, I know but your girls gotta get them grades boo.

I'm writing this in my revision break, so let's get started.

This is not the greatest picture ever and I apologise for such poor quality however me being me, this is the only picture I took before I cut open the packaging. So this will have to do.

I mentioned in a previous post that I will be collaborating with Slendertox Tea and on Monday I received my package. I was sent their 14 day daytox and the 7 day sleeptox. I started the teatox on Tuesday and I am still on it. I will be doing a follow up post with images and more detail so I won't tell you too much but let me tell you this one thing. Do not brew the tea for longer than 5 minutes. I repeat, DO NOT BREW THE TEA FOR LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES. That's only if you don't want to spend the majority of your day rushing to the toilet or being stranded with a runny stomach due to brewing the tea too long.

The 14 days are not over yet and I've already seen some amazing results. Keep an eye out for a post with more detail in the following weeks.

This is another super bad quality image. I honestly don't know what has got into me this week. This is my to do list for my History exam that is on Wednesday. As you can see, I still have a lot to do. I have covered more than the image shows. I must say that this is the exam I am most worried about but I believe that if I revise hard and smart enough; I will be able to answer all the questions on the paper to the best of my ability.

Anyways, with that being said, I am going to get back to my history revision. I hope that you have enjoyed reading this post and finding out what I have been getting up to. I also wish everyone that is doing exams this season the best of luck. Remember to keep a positive mind and do the best that you can.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

My Week in Pictures | 27.04.15-03.05.15

Hey guys!

How are you? It feels like I've been gone forever. It's Monday. Bank Holiday Monday, to be exact. That means that instead of being at sixth form, I'm still laying in bed. Unfortunately, I'm revising instead of chilling, but in order to get good grades, I must put the work in.

Enough with the chit chat, let's get started.

My exams start in 7 days. Eek. Last week I decided to see what the grade boundaries were for all of exams. To my surprise, the boundaries were incredibly high. Especially the ones for my Spanish exam. I need 92/110 for my Reading, Listening and Writing paper and then 43/50 for my speaking exam. It's pretty terrifying but I'm not going to stress. Whatever happens, happens. I know that by the time my exams come around u would have revised my hardest and given it my best shot. Are you still stuck on how to revise? click here!

I've been saying for quite a long time that I need to get into the gym and yesterday (Sunday) I did exactly that. I went to the  Virgin Active gym in Romford and I must say its the best looking gym I have ever seen. This may sound weird but I'm motivated by good looking environments. They're just more inviting and exciting to look at. Who wants to work out in a room full of dull walls? I definitely don't.

My plan is to go to the gym twice a week until the 20th May and three times a week after. Hopefully by the end of June, I will have achieved my fitness goals. More on those in another post.

I've been absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of support that I have received from my friends, family and readers; that I've decided to do a giveaway to show my appreciation.

I never expected to get over 50 followers on Twitter but I've currently got 340 something. I never expected my blog to get as many views as it does and I'm extremely grateful. So this giveaway is for all of my lovely supporters. Comment on this post the products you would like to see in the giveaway and I'll consider including it.

Thank you for all your support.

That's all for this week. I hope you all have a great week. Good luck with your exams. Do something that your future self will thank you for!

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

My Week in Pictures | 20.04.15-26.04.15

Hey guys,

How's your day going? I hope it's going great and if not, it's not too late to turn it around.

I've had such a busy exciting week. So let's get straight into it.

I've been wanting to rearrange my room for a very long time. My room is a decent size and I was looking for some ideas to help me with my office area. So I took to google to help find myself some inspiration. I came across some lovely looking offices and I definitely found the inspiration I needed. Here are a few:

On Saturday my family and I celebrated my brothers birthday and Baptism. It was a lovely fun-filled event with food, family, fun and games. My inner child was definitely unleashed. It was just fantastic. It was almost like a family reunion, there family members that I hadn't seen in years.

On Monday, I took part in the Bloggers Love Hub Twitter Party. We discussed the ways in which we would like companies to interact with bloggers/vloggers and similar issues as part of this, I will be collaborating with Sebamed and Slendertox Tea. Keep an eye out for a review on both companies.

That's it for today. I hope you've enjoyed this post. Remember to stay positive and enjoy the rest of your week.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

Kia's Hair Journey

Bonjour everyone!

My name is Kia also known as Kay and I'm here to do a cheeky feature on beautyandtee. I have a natural hair blog called Divinus Ater talking about different hair regime and different tips and tricks I've acquired over time. Today I'm here to talk about my hair regime but first I'll give you a bit of info about myself.

I've been natural all my life, I've never applied any relaxer to my hair and have only had 'blow outs' three times in my life. I started my natural hair blog less than a month ago to inspire those who may want to transition to natural and offer tips to those that are natural. My current hair length is somewhere between my collar bone and bra strap and I'm aiming to get my hair at bra strap length. I usually wear protective hairstyles eg braids or weave but I've decided to give my hair a couple of months to breathe and be natural.

On a day to day basis I have my hair in a French braid cornrow hairstyle. I use Jamaican Black Castor Oil on my hair as, for me, it moisturises my hair and makes my hair softer and easier to manage. To seal in the moisture I apply Shea butter all over my hair but especially on the tips of my hair as that's where it's the driest and it works a treat!  At night I usually plait up my hair either in big plaits or cornrows depending on the hairstyle I'm trying to execute the following day.

Now don't get me wrong, it seems like I've got my hair figured out but it's taken a long time to get here and it's still an ongoing process. I've always had thick hair but during my secondary school life, my hair was just about long enough to tie into a ponytail. I tried a variety of different products to aid the healthy growth of my hair but yet I failed on numerous accounts.

Instead I chose to shield my hair behind weave and braids however when I was around sixteen, I decided enough was enough and decided to invest more time into looking after my hair. I went through product after product and spent hours on natural hair blogs and websites until I found the products that worked for me and here we are today.

I guess the message I'm trying to convey is whether you're thinking about transitioning to natural or have been a naturalista for some time, we all experience set backs but the thing that defines you is whether you let that stop you. My hair is growing healthier and faster than ever and I'm loving the journey I'm on!
