Bloggers Love Fashion Week

Hey guys,

How are you? I hope you're all having an amazing day/week. We're drawing closer to one of the most stressful times of the year for many people. Exam season. Despite all the revision and hardwork needed, it's important to remember why you're doing this. But it's also important to have fun. Work hard, play hard.

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of being a VIB (Very Important Blogger) at the Bloggers Love Fashion Week event. This didn't necessarily change the way I was treated, it just gave me access to more brands. In return, I was just asked to write about the event and the companies. Despite being asked to write about the event and companies, all the opinions in this post are mine.

Here are the goodies I was given on the night;

As you can see from the picture, there was a wide variety of brands on the night. There were companies such as Kease a brand that specialises in key rings that can fit on the inside of your bag pocket or on the top of your leggings/trouser and Magnitone a brand that specialises in a range of skin care products.

Along with these stalls there was Umberto Gianni, LipGlam, Norenzo, Gossimo Jewellery, SlenderTox Tea and many others.

Out of all these brands, the products I have been reaching for constantly is my Magnitone Lucid and my LipGlam lip balm. There will be a full review on these products up after my exams finish on the 20th May. So keep your eyes peeled for them.

See you soon,

My Week in Pictures | 23.03.15-29.03.15

Hey guys,

It's the last Monday of March. This year is going way too quickly. My exams start in 6 weeks and the pressure is really starting to kick in.

I'm going to be adding some beauty related posts to my blog this week. I won't be turning it in to a series because I simply do not have enough time in the week to add an extra weekly series. These posts will be irregular but I will try my hardest to post at least 2 times a month in regards to beauty products.

I have an exciting week ahead, I start work experience at a top law firm today (Monday 30th March) and I'm looking forward to it. I've bought plenty of clothes so I should be doing some #OOTD posts on Instagram and possibly on my blog.

Enough about what I've got going on, let's see what I got up to last week.

1) As you guys know, I'm studying my A levels at the moment and exams start pretty soon. It is basically crunch time and I'm doing my best to keep on top of my work and do as much productive revision as possible.

2) As I mentioned earlier, I attended the Bloggers Love Fashion Week gifting lounge. It was a chance for bloggers, like myself; to network with companies and be gifted with products. A company called Kryptik Rose sent me the t-shirtI'm  wearing in the picture so I could wear it to the event. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive on time.

3) You're probably wondering what is so important about these pair of shoes, right? EVERYTHING. I have size 2.5/3 feet so when it comes to finding shoes I really struggle. I have been looking for a pair of loafers/loafer type shoes for a while but I never found any in my size.

In preparation for my work experience, I resumed my search and I came across these beauties in a size 4. SIZE 4! I refused to accept that and checked the Topshop website for places that have them in my size. Long story short, I ended up going to Oxford Circus and I now own a pair of loafer-ish shoes. HOORAY.

That's roughly what I've been up to this week. Preparing for exams, preparing for work experience and networking.

I hope you've enjoyed this post. Feel free to leave any ideas or suggestions in the comments section. I wish you all have an amazing week.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

Acceptance | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS

Hey guys,

Is it me or is this week going extremely fast. I can not believe that it's Wednesday already. I'm currently writing this on my way home from the Bloggers Love Fashion Week event (I will be writing a post about this event next week).

Today's post is about acceptance. Accepting whatever challenges life throws at you.

Acceptance is something that I believe should be taught from a very young age. Simply because of all the benefits it has to offer our lives. Learning to accept things eventually helps to avoid the problems of jealousy, frustration and in some cases depression.

The problem with this topic is that it can get a bit controversial due to the fact that you can't guarantee how someone may react to you telling them to accept something. For example, your friend might tell you that she didn't get her dream job and you may tell her something along the lines of "don't worry about it, you'll find a better one". Your friend will get angry at you but simply because she doesn't realise that you're looking at the bigger picture. She's so fixated on the present, that she can't even realise that what you're saying is the truth. Regardless of whether it's coming from a good place, the other person might dismiss it as being rude or inconsiderate.

Learning to accept things is very important. It's so important that I believe that it can change the way things happen in your life. For example, I got an E for my AS Psychology mock; this wasn't the grade I had wanted but I just had to deal with it. After a while, I realised beating myself up about it wasn't going to change the grade; infact it wasn't going to change anything. I learnt to accept the grade and chose to put in more time to revise for the resit. I recently got the grade for my resist and I got a B. That's 4 grades higher than before. If I didn't learn to accept the E, I would have kept the same attitude towards Psychology and probably get the same result for the resit. The moral of this story is, never let an event define you or bring you down; use that event as a form of motivation to better yourself in that area.

In life, you must learn to accept things not just because it won't change anything but also because it will literally take the weight off your back. All the stress, anger and disappointment; GONE

Instead of asking yourself "why did this happen to me?" ask yourself "what can I learn from this?". By changing your perspective, you make it easier for yourself to accept whatever is going on.

Let's go back to the example of my Psychology mock. I am now applying the attitude that I had to my resit to my real exams and life. It doesn't matter what happens tomorrow, I will find a way to deal with it. I won't let it bring me down for a long period of time because time is precious and I'll never get that back. It's okay to be upset about something temporarily but staying upset is where the issue begins. Learn to accept the issue and use it to build yourself.

Don't let the event define you, you define the event.

I hope you've liked this post. If you have anything you would like me to post about. Comment down below. I hope you all have a great week. Do something your future self will thank you for.

My Week in Pictures | 16.03.15-22.03.15

Hey guys,

I'm back with another #MWIP. I'm extremely sorry that this post is ridiculously late. I'm currently writing this at 22:40 GMT, which is something I'm absolutely ashamed of. Instead of wasting time rambling on, I'm going to get straight into it.

This is what I've been up to this week.

1) A while ago, I contacted an artist to help me recreate one of my pictures. On Friday, I received the final product and I must admit that I was absolutely gobsmacked. I fell in love instantly. It literally resembles the original and I couldn't be any happier. He charges £15, if you would like to get in contact with him; you can find him on Instagram at @camza_

2) On Friday night, I travelled up to Nottingham with my cheerleading for the ICC Nationals Cheerleading Competition. I must say it was a great experience. I met some wonderful people, saw some wonderful teams and got to spend some time doing the thing I love with the people I love. The picture you see is of the delicious Harvester breakfast I had. It has to be the most filling thing I've ever eaten; it's no wonder it's called the Harvester Big Breakfast.

3) I have been working on revamping my blog to make it a bit more personal and aesthetically pleasing. One step that I've done to achieve this is getting a new logo made. This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I am incredibly picky so I kept asking for things to be amended, which made the process longer than I would have preferred. However, when you're paying for something it is important to ensure that you're 100% satisfied with the final result. Luckily, all my fussiness paid off and I'm 100% satisfied with my new logo. I'm yet to put this on my blog and I plan to use it on other blog related products.

So that's all the exciting stuff from last. What do you think of my new logo? Is there anything you would like to see on my blog? Anything you would like me to do during the week? Let me know in the comments section.

Have a great week!

See you soon,
Tee xoxo

P.S;
This will be the last post that I ever upload at 23:50 GMT. This is extremely shameful.

Love | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS

Hey guys,

Today I'm going to be talking about love. Not the sort of love that you share between your boyfriend or the sort of love you share with your friends and family. I'm talking about the love you share with yourself.

More often than not, we spend so much time showing love to other people and we neglect ourselves. It's okay to put other people first but there are times where you just need to say "no, I need to spend time with myself" or "no, I'm busy that day".

Sometimes we may feel like we have to give up the things that are important to us, in order to keep other people happy. Sometimes we may also feel that we are not good enough for other people because we dont look like the people in magazines and we don't act/look the way society tells us that we should.

Whilst wandering around on Twitter, I came across a group of pictures that highlight different situations women may face in society and promote self love.

This one's for the girls that are told to tame their hair.

This ones for the girls that are told that they're studying subjects that are meant for boys.

This one's for the girls that are expected to let their illnesses rule their lives.

This ones for the girls that are told to cover up their scars.

Don't feel like you need to change the way you are for the rest of the world. Stay true to yourself. So what if they don't like you for who you are? Someone else will appreciate you for everything that you are.

We've come to the end of this weeks #WAKEUPWEDNESDAY. I hope you enjoyed this post. If there are any topics you would like me to discuss, don't be afraid to comment below. If you'd like to discuss a personal issue with me, you can email me at beautyandtee@icloud.com

My Week in Pictures | 09.03.15-15.03.15

Hey guys,

I'm back with another #MWIP. This has been one of my best weeks this year due to several personal reasons. But let's get straight to it.

1) Yesterday was Mother's Day and my nanny took us down to the pub for some lovely pub food. I thought that since I'm down the pub, I might aswell eat a Pub Classic; so I opted for Fish and Chips with Peas. Im literally obsessed wit fish, so I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. It was a delicious dinner with the people that I love.

2) Friday was payday, so on Saturday morning I decided to go and buy some new makeup. I ended up spending £50+ which is something I very rarely do but there isn't a single product that I regret buying. I will go into further detail about the products I bought in a separate post.

3) A few weeks ago I attended the Bloggers Love Fashion Week event l, in which I was able to network with a variety of brands. One of them was Madame LA LA, which is a tanning company that aims to give people an LA glow. They sent me their product to test out and I'm currently loving it. You're probably wondering why do I need to tan, especially since I'm dark skinned. However, I'll get in to that in my review post.

Alright guys, that's just a mere insight into what I got up to this week. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know down below if you like these sort of posts. I hope you have a great week.

Luvli Lounge | FASHION

Hey guys,

I'm so excited about this post, simply because I believe many of you would love the products I'm about to tell you about.

I'm going to get straight to the point. I am collaborating with a brand called Luvli Lounge. They stock lingerie that is absolutely stunning and still affordable. They also have super amazing customer service. So what can be better than affordable lingerie and great customer service? Nothing!

Here are some of favourites:

Bra: THE ARGENTÉ BRA- LIMITED EDITION - £15.99
Brief: THE ARGENTÉ BRIEF- LIMITED EDITION - £6.00

Set: DAHLIA PINK LACE SET - £10.99

Set: HYACINTH BODICE - £12.99

I was also able to interview the people at Luvli Lounge, so that you guys could get more of an insight into the company itself.

Here's the super short interview:

Me: What inspired you to start this company?
LL: In today's society where social media is prevalent, the idea of what makes a women beautiful has become so ignorant and limited. This has left many women less confident than others as their type of beauty isn't necessarily as glorified as much as others. We all want women to feel confident and beautiful from the inside so it projects on the outside. As well as feel empowered in their underwear/lingerie which is where our ethos derives from. We believe all women can Be, Look and Feel LuvLi

Me: What sets you apart from the other lingerie suppliers?
LL: We wanted to create a brand that all shapes, ethnicity's and sizes take pride in wearing. Most lingerie brands cater to one specific shape of women. Our brand is luxurious yet affordable, as we know that when something is affordable it is accessible. Women can look gorgeous with out having to burn a whole on their pockets.

As I mentioned at the beginning, I am collaborating with Luvli Lounge, however all of these opinions are my own. I am not falsely advertising the company for my own benefit, I am simply sharing with you a company that I love.

If you like what you've seen, head over to Luvli Lounge, and use my discount code BEAUTYTEE10 to get 10% off your entire order.

So that's it. Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Don't be afraid to comment below any ideas and give feedback. Also don't forget to follow to make sure you don't miss a single post.

See you soon,

Organisation is Key | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAY

Hey guys,

It's finally Wednesday and I'm back with another #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS post. Today's topic is organisation. I will be discussing why organisation is important and what method I use to keep myself organised and inspired on a daily basis.

This will be more of a "how to" post, rather than a full on motivational piece. So that makes this weeks #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS completely different to the others.

Alright, let's get started.

For those of you that don't know I'm 17 years old, this means that I'm in my first year of college/sixth form. Just the other week, the fact that my exams are in 2 months hit me; so I went out and tried to find some helpful resources. I came across a shop called Tiger in my local area and found this cork board. It was unbelievably cheap. I believe it was only £5.

So what I did was print off the days of the week and a quote that I felt inspired me, then I used blue tac to attach them to the board. I then stuck post it notes under the days. I chose post it notes because they're adaptable, which will allow me to change the board each week without any hassle.
Some of you are probably wondering why I'm telling you this information. I'm telling you this because this is one method that I'm using to keep myself organised and inspired. Im also telling you because organisation is a vital skill needed in life; regardless of your age, ace or occupation. Without organisation, you might forget to pay a bill, fall into debt or miss an exam/meeting.The lack of organisation can lead to a stressful life. In order to avoid this happening, it's important to implement strategies that will help you deal with your problems.

Personally, I think that buying this board is the best thing I have ever done. Simply because the board allows me to see what I need to do whenever I'm in my room, which then decreases the chances of me forgetting to do something. It acts as a constant reminder of these things. I think that this could work for everybody, simply because it's inexpensive and adaptable.
You could use the board to have pictures/lists of goals you want to achieve, places you want to visit, grades you want to get or even for house chores.

I've chosen to use this board to help me stay organised and motivated in the lead up to my exams. Once my board is finished, it will consist of the different goals I want to achieve, things I need to do that week, inspirational quotes and fitspiration (fitness related quotes and body goals).

I hope you've had a wonderful Wednesday. Most of all, I hope you've enjoyed reading this post. If you would like more posts detailing how I do certain things, don't be afraid to leave a comment below. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week.

My Week in Pictures | 02.03.15-08.03.15

Hey guys,

Guess what's back? #MWIP is back. Well, I'm back with another #MWIP post. The whole point of these posts are to give you an insight into my life and to also allow me to look back at the end of the year and see how much I have accomplished.

1) This quote literally embodies everything I'm about. I feel that it is important to focus on yourself whilst trying to build your own empire. However this doesn't mean you should but every one off; it simply means that you shouldn't change the way you're doing things because of somebody or you shouldn't try strive for somebody else's success.

2) I've barely had any free time since I've started doing these posts however this week, I decided to give myself a break. I've got a couple magazines laying around in my house that I've never picked up so I chose to take some time out and look through my ELLE magazine.   It's may not seem like anything particularly interesting but I was able to draw loads of inspiration from it.

3) On Sunday, my mum finally decided to do my hair after a week of me begging her. I just asked her to do a simple middle part weave that can be packed up. The picture you see is of my hair packed in to a messy bun. I particularly love the way the colour came out, even if it wasn't what I was going for. Details on the weave and how I achieved this colour will be in a separate post that's yet to come.

Alright, so that's it for this weeks edition of #MWIP. I hope to see you back on Wednesday for my #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS post. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter/Instagram (@beautyandtee) to keep up with any posts, announcements or discount codes (yes, I said, discount codes). Who doesn't love getting things for a cheaper price?

I hope you all have a great week. Feel free to comment below and tell me what you've been up to and what you would like to see from me in the future.

See you soon,

3 Reasons Why Your Size Shouldn't Matter | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS

Hi guys,

We've reached the middle of the week. Today's Wednesday. The first Wednesday of March. I can't believe we're in March already! This year is just whizzing by, next thing you know we will be getting ready for Christmas all over again.

This month I've decided to change the theme of my #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS and go back to my very first post. For those of you who haven't read it, it was based on perfection. Check it out "What is Perfection?"

As you can tell from the title, I will be giving you 3 reasons as to why the size of your clothes does not matter. Let's get straight into it.

1) Sizes are inconsistent.
Have you ever gone into a shop picked up a size that you usually wear, went into the changing room and it was too big/small? This happens because their is no universal sizing chart and despite there being sizing charts that tell you what size you wear in different countries; there isn't a chart that brands/designers must follow. This is why you can be a UK dress size 8 in New Look and a UK dress size 12 in Topshop. It's not because you've put on or lost a tremendous amount of weight.

2) The label on your clothes doesn't determine your health.
The label on your clothes only tells you what size you are in that specific shop. It doesn't tell you whether you are under weight, a healthy weight or obese. That's what you're BMI is there for. In my opinion, as long as my BMI tells me that I'm a healthy weight, the size of my clothes doesn't bother me.

3) It doesn't define you.
Whether you're a size 16 or a size 6, the label on your clothes says nothing about you. It doesn't tell you that you have a great personality and many people would be lucky to have you as a friend. It also doesn't tell you that you have a condition that prohibits you from losing/gaining weight. It also doesn't tell you that there is something wrong with your size (people do!). The size on your label only tells you that this is the size you wear in that specific shop.

I hope you've had a wonderful Wednesday. Hope you enjoyed this post. Have a great week!

My Week in Pictures | 23.02.15-01.03.15

Hi guys,

It's Monday, that means that I'm back with another #MWIP post. This weeks post is slightly shorter than I would have preferred but it's because I've been so unproductive. This is extremely shameful, especially since my exams start in 65 days. (Eeek, wish me luck!)

Enough about me, let's get started.

1) This Saturday, I went to my sisters best friends 12th birthday dinner. After finishing our lovely Pizza Express meal, we said our goodbyes and headed out.

Once we left the building we were met with heavy rain, luckily we had our umbrellas. My sister, her friend and I ran to the bus stop trying our best to stay dry whilst running through very strong winds.

Before we even had the chance to get to the bus stop, the wind grew stronger and tore apart my pink umbrella. There was nothing that I could do besides throw my lovely umbrella in the bin.

2) During the week, I decided that it was about time I started playing with my toy. I was given the Canon 700D as a birthday present back in January but I have never actually recorded any videos with it.

I must say that it is worth the price. It's quality is impeccable and I would like to say that it is beginner friendly.

So during the week, I recorded 2 videos which I plan to edit this week and release some time next week. Hopefully everything goes according to plan, then you'll be seeing my face on your screens.  I'm so excited to start a YouTube channel as I believe it will help me further improve my confidence and create a more intimate connection with all of my readers.

That's it for this weeks edition of #MWIP. What have you been up to? How's the weather in your country? Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Don't be afraid to comment below anything you'd like me to post about and give feedback. Also don't forget to follow to ensure you don't miss a single post

See you soon,
Tee xoxo
