How to Revise | #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS

Hey guys,

How are you? Im fine, thanks for asking. I hope you're all having an amazing week so far. So I'm back with yet another #WAKEUPWEDNESDAYS. Today's post is on revision. I'm going to give you 4 simple tips that will help you get started.

Let's get straight to it.

Step 1:
Find out what type of learner you are.
There are multiple tests out there that will help you find out whether you are a visual, auditory or kinesthetic type of learner.

Here are some useful sites;

Step 2:
Find out what sort of methods work for you.
Now that you know what type of learner, you need to know what methods work for you. This may feel like step 1 but it's not. For example, you can be a visual learner and find that making posters doesn't work as well as making flash cards. It's all about finding out what works for you.

Step 3:
Find out what methods work best for each subject.
Successful revision is all about identifying your strengths. There's no point in using methods that don't work. From experience, I've found that my revision method needs to be different for each subject.

For example, for Spanish I just revise vocabulary, for History I create mind maps for a topic overview and then flash cards for any important information and for Psychology I listen to podcasts and rewrite my notes.

As you can tell I'm a combination of all learning types so don't think because a quiz tells you that you're a specific time you must eliminate the rest. The quiz simply tells you what learning type suits you the most.

Step 4:
Start revising.
Now that you know what type of learner you are, the methods that work for you and each of your subjects, it's time to get down to work. There's no point in just having all this information and not doing anything with it.

For all of you preparing for your exams, I wish you the best of luck. You will be fine, believe in yourself. Always exude positive energy. The power of the tongue is powerful, don't speak negatively about your results; you don't want to jinx it.

See you soon,
Tee xoxo
