Hello lovelies,
Yesterday I decided to treat myself so I decided to take a trip to Superdrug. The most frustrating thing about my shopping trips is that I spend so much time walking up and down the aisles deciding whether I really need certain items and only end up leaving with very few.
First, let's start off with the Simple Skincare products. All skincare contains no animal derived ingredients. I have very sensitive skin so I tend to stick to products that are either prescribed to me by my doctor or are made from natural ingredients. Each of the Simple products pictured above have at least 2 vitamins that are vital for your skin. I also have very oily skin, hence all the products focus on oil balancing. One thing I noticed is that their 'oil balancing' range is slightly more expensive than their normal range.
My favourite of the 3 would have to be the Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash. I love the see-through packaging. I also love how soft my skin feels as soon as I've washed the product off. My face feels very hydrated afterwards. I have tried other exfoliaters but they've left my face feeling very dry. With this product a little goes a long while. I got this for £2.86 but it's usually £4.29. Such a great deal!
My second favourite is the Oil Balancing Moisturiser, which I got for £2.83 but it's usually £4.25. Another great deal! Just like the other product, a little goes a very long way. It's an extremely hydrating product. The product itself smells very organic, as in it reminds me of nature when I smell it. So if you hate the smell of nature, this might not be the product for you.
My least favourite of the 3 has to be the Cleansing Wipes. They do have these wipes in the 'Oil Balancing' range but they weren't in stock. I think these wipes are ridiculously priced. £1.59 for only 25 wipes? Say what! However, these wipes leave your face feeling very refreshed, light and soft after each use. I wouldn't recommend these wipes for taking off very heavy makeup because you would find yourself using more than one wipe, and since there's only 25 wipes in a pack you'd be taking multiple trips back to Superdrug to repurchase them.
Ok, next up we have makeup. I only bought 2 makeup products because I was being extremely indecisive.
We have the 'Undressed' Eyeshadow Palette by MUA. The palette consists of range of colours including nudes and deep browns. This palette was £4. There are a few things I don't like about it. The applicator it comes with, prevents you from having a very elegant finish. The colours themselves are not very pigmented so you may find yourself having to apply more to achieve your desired look. You get what you pay for. The quality of this product is as expected due to its price.
The last thing I got was the NYC Big Bold Curl Mascara. I absolutely adore this mascara. It has to be the best mascara I've purchased all year. It was £3.99. The wand is curved, which makes the application process a lot easier. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this product. It gives you great volume and length, without having to keep dipping the wand back in to get more product. It is also great value for money.
So that's it for today.
See you soon,
Tee xoxo
